Shake Reduction
The camera reviews discussing Pentax shake reduction encouraged me to purchase a K100D even though my *istD was providing excellent images. Other improvements mentioned the jpeg quality achieved by the K100D. The surprise is how dramatic the difference is on my 80-320 zoom. The hand held results continue to amaze me. The reviewers tend to talk about a one or two stop difference but this analysis seems mis-directed. The effect is not so much in available aperture but in compensation for shaky hands! What's more the the internal jpeg processing helps the overall effect to make my previous work with raw files look misguided.
